Update on Phone Room...

I CAN ANSWER THE PHONE BY MYSELF NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud :). It sounds easy, but its hard to be able to tell whether a person needs a fifteen minute appointment or a thirty minute appointment, or whether or not to transfer their call to a nurse, or take a message, or... :) I still have a hard time with it. The gals in there are so much fun to work with.

I finally had a free evening, so tonight I made 3 batches of chocolates! I rolled and dipped my favorite kind, cookie balls, and then I started on chocolate covered cherries and tried a new recipe called cookie dough truffles. Those are pretty good :), they're basically cookie dough without egg made with mini chocolate chips and rolled into balls and dipped in chocolate ;). Mmmmmmmmm. Chocolates mean Christmas ;). And other than having a bazillion chocolates in the refridgerator right now, I'm NOT ready for Christmas yet!! I'll have to do some more shopping, maybe this weekend... if there's time after the Christmas play practice on Saturday :P. We'll see :). Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS (a few days early)!!!

Phone Room

I started in the phone room at work yesterday. It seems pretty complicated to me :). So far I've mostly been "evesdropping" on the other ladies' conversations, but Judy says I'll probably answer some myself tomorrow, so thats kinda scary! I did make some calls confirming people's appointments this afternoon, and that was pretty fun. One guy who talked really slow with a southern accent said, "My appointment tomorrow afternoon? Well, Lord willin' I'll be there... and if He ain't, then who cares?!?" Just the way he said it was hilarious!

Work

I'm enjoying my job at the clinic. So far I have been in the medical records section, which is mostly filing. I'm supposed to start in their phone room on either Wednesday or Thursday this week, which means answering phones, making appointments, taking messages for doctors, and suchlike. I'm loving the work, but I'm pretty tired in the evenings :). And this week my evenings are pretty crazy too :(. That's ok though, because I kinda like to be crazy busy ;).
