A bunch of new pictures!
Check out our beautiful flowery bushes!! We have about 6 of them around our yard :).
Last night I brought Titus to the kitchen to make supper with me and boy was he happy!! :)
he looks so fat here!! :)
And I was playing with the camera taking pictures of me and Titus last night also:
haha :)
Titus likes sitting in his bumbo seat most of the time...
but he also likes to lean as far out as he can, sometimes grabbing things behind him on the table :P.
and he likes to have his foot touch the floor!!
Last weekend Carl came to visit, and I didn't take any pictures while he was here, but here is the beautiful shelf he and Alex built for all our plants to go on so they'll get more sun without carrying them in and out all the time! Isn't it lovely? :)

Baby Germs... AHHHHHHH
A couple of weeks ago at Awana there were two little girls admiring Titus, and one of them picked up his toy to try to get him to play with it. The other girl immediately said, "Yuck, he puts his MOUTH on that!!" And then she promptly picked up his hand and kissed it :). Now if you want to know what gets gross, I would say #1 is the baby's hands! :) I refrained from telling her that not only does he put his hand in his mouth, he also puts it in: other peoples' mouths, other peoples' noses, his diaper, on the floor, etc. Not to mention all the fuzzies from clothing and suchlike that get all sweaty and stick in the creases of his hands and between his fingers... but he's outgrowing that some now that he uses his hands.
And speaking of gross baby stuff, last week when we were heading out for church on Sunday morning we were going to make it on time for a change! So I went to change Titus' diaper quick before we left and get his church clothes on him and..... he peed and made a small mess, also rendering his church clothes unwearable. Lovely... So I got out a new clean diaper, cleaned him and his changing table up, and while that's going on he decides if its fun once, why not do it again, right? So this time I was QUITE unprepared (how much more can he have in him??) and so it got all the way up to his face. Gross!!! So we did a very quick clean up again, got him all dressed, in his carseat and in the truck, backed out into the turnaround spot and... then we hear him puking. So we had to stop and clean that up before we continued on our long journey (all of... 1 block!) to church, and would you believe we still made it in time? S.S. was late starting that day! I tell you, trying to get a baby somewhere on time is a lot harder than it looks!

Time flies!
Can y'all believe we've been engaged for 2 years now? Yesterday was our engagement anniversary :). So I made a fancy dinner for us- steak (it was kind of tough, but it was my first time ever cooking steaks!) and baked potatoes, veggies, salad, and pineapple upside-down cake. We had nice cloth napkins and used our new silverware- we even had 2 forks!! I forgot to eat my salad with my salad fork though :P. Anyways, that was kinda fun. And Sunday Alex took me to the Cheesecake Bistro for lunch for valentines day. So if we all look fatter next time you see us, now you'll know why!
Anyways, here's some new pictures!!!
Titus enjoys wiggling around on the floor playing with his improvised broomstick-supported toys :).

Titus was admiring himself in the mirror last night ;).
And Titus just LOVES being held up in the air by his Daddy!
He also loves listening to Alex play on his harmonica!
Titus can roll over now, and he practically can sit himself up from a laying down position. This is because he works out his abs in his sleep. I'm serious!! Starting anywhere from 4:30am-6am he picks his legs up and sticks them straight up in the air. Then lets go so they clonk down into his bed. And he just keeps doing it over and over and over and over and over and over and etc and so on! Titus and Alex sleep peacfully through all of it, but I CAN'T!!! I lay there awake jumping up occasionally to put Titus' blankets back over him, or shove his sucker in his mouth so he'll stay asleep and hopefully hold still :). The result is that Titus and Alex wake up happy and rested (with incredible abdominal muscles for Titus) while I am tired and yawning all day :P. Anyways, I must go now- Titus is about to jump off my lap!!! Adioodles!

OOPS!!
So I was reading about Christy's goofy birthday plan and laughed so long that I had to go change my pants!! Hahaha. Ok... so the truth is that Titus' diaper leaked all over me and I didn't notice until my leg was covered and it was dripping on the floor.
Anyways, here are some overdue pictures for you guys! I missed it when Titus almost drooled on Alex's face :).

This is his camera face. Probably studying it to see where that horrendous flash comes from.

Here is our garden so far. Tomatoes... Oh yeah, and that pot that you can see has my grapefruit trees in it!
And peppers:

Oh yes, talking to Micah on Monday (he's one of my favorite nephews!) made me homesick for the MI weather mentality again. We were talking about the weather down here and then Micah says, "Yesterday it was sooo nice outside, it was PERFECT for a picnic... except it was a little too cold. Oh yeah, and there was too much snow." Sounds like the End Of Winter fever is spreading quickly up there- Andrew was also very happy this week because it was 50ish degrees and he only needed a spring jacket outside! Y'all do realize that down here I'm the opposite now: when it gets 50 degrees I break out the sweaters and fuzzy socks! There's not too many opportunites for those kind of things down here. Oh well. I guess I make up for that disappointment by replying to cold-weather comments with things like, "It's cold down here too, only 65* today!"

Saturday was VERY beautiful out! Alex got a lot of cleanup/mowing done in the backyard and I planted all my sprouted pepper seeds while Titus napped inside. And we had a picnic!! Leftover pizza in the backyard :).

Some Random information:
Vocabulary Word of the Day: Substantialiscious \sub-'stan(t)-shu-'li-shus\ (noun). The weight of something when you weigh it with your tongue.*
*this tidbit of information courtesy of Snickers candy bar wrapper.
Next is an update on Titus: He's trying to use his hands more, and if you pry his fingers open and put a rattle in there, he'll hang on and wave it around for a minute or so. Sometimes he can grab it, but today he has been unable to open his fists because he is too excited :). So he punches it instead.
What I'm reading: I just reread the Baynes Clan* series by John S. McCord. If you want to read some western books that are actually funny, these are great! While I enjoy Louis L'Amour's books, I can't help but notice that they have no sense of humor at all. The Baynes' are hilarious! Now that I've finished with those books I am rereading some of my favorite Mrs. Pollifax books. Those are also wonderful!*
*Disclaimer: These books do have some cursing in them.

And that's all I can think of right now. Ta ta!! (Anna, you're rubbing off on me!)

What we have been eating: Y'all want to know all the gory details of our life, right? :) Haha. Anyways, we have been getting these tamales that are so great I just HAD to share with you! There is a Mexican family in our church who make and sell these and they are absolutely delicious! Just slop some chili on top there and put a dollop of sour cream on top of that and Mmmmm! (I've always wanted to use the word dollop!)

And that's all I can think of right now. Ta ta!! (Anna, you're rubbing off on me!)
