Alex and I went out to breakfast on Friday morning and had some delicious omlettes :). While we were eating Alex mentioned that he thought we might go for a walk later, but it seemed too cold outside. So I kindly suggested that we could have a snowball fight instead. He wasn't too interested in a fight though. So we left the Hawks Nest and Alex asked me on the way home if I knew of any place scenic around the area that I would like to go to. I couldn't think of anything, so we kept going... and took a wrong turn on the way home and ended up going down a bunch of back roads and all around our neighborhood, and then around the block... (poor Alex was trying to figure out how to do it!) and finally we went back to Mom's house. We were talking to Mom and the kids when the phone suddenly rang. Well, it turns out that Alex's parents knew he was going to propose, so they were calling Mom to see how I like my ring. So Mom went running off to a quiet spot where she could notify them that I didn't HAVE a ring yet ;), and Alex went downstairs to the basement. I thought he must be going to check out our new TV, so I went trotting along behind, and started babbling about the marvels of our new TV to the poor guy (it really IS marvelous though... you can watch an entire movie and not have to jump up even ONCE to thump on the side of the TV!). And suddenly Alex knelt down and asked me to marry him!!! Now I have the most incredibly gorgeous diamond ring you EVER saw in your whole entire life!
The End.
