Guess What!

I'm feeling SOOOOOO much better that it's incredible. AND (drumroll please) Stampin' Up! is retiring practically every stamp set in their whole catalog, it seems like. Good grief, I'm not sure what will be left when they're finished. Some of my favorite stamps too :(. They'd better come up with something good to make up for it or I'll come after them!!! :) I just thought you would all want to know that.

That's all my big news for today. Oh yes, one more thing- I just learned how to make the printer print. I'm not sure what exactly I did though, so don't ask me to figure YOURS out!!! :)

Well, since I'm just sitting here, I might as well stick on a couple more pics, right? Ok! Here you go:

A Bad Post

Hey y'all, just to make up for getting an A+ on my last post (thanks, Uncle Phil!!) I thought I should post a good depressing one now.

I have Strep Throat. And got kicked out of work today because of it :P. Isn't that depressing? I've had this cold/allergies thing going on since last Wednesday and I'm NEVER sick that long... so today I broke down and actually saw Melissa Torres (one of the PA's at the clinic). Sure enough, it wasn't just a regular cold or allergies after all.

So now AFTER I worked at the clinic Friday and at the fudge shop Saturday and Sunday I discover that I have a contagious illness. I washed my hands about every 5 minutes while I was at the fudge shop, and as I was leaving the clinic the girls were planning to sterilize just about everything I ever looked at since I was hired there, so everything should be fine.

Anyways, I'd better get going now. I've had a stressful day of laying around the house all by myself watching movies and sleeping and now I'm about ready for bed. Adioodles!

Busy weekend

Guess what! I did it. Actually, Mrs. B did it for me :). I took advantage of her camera-happy tendencies and got a bunch of pictures from this last weekend. So to start at the beginning...

Mr & Mrs. B and I left Thursday afternoon and got down there Friday in time for Alex's lunch break. Some of us had lunch with him while others just fell asleep on his couch. Then we went and checked into our hotel and showered and rested until it was time to go out partying :). Alex's church had a Luau on Friday night and it was really fun.

We had a big limbo contest and Alex and I were the pole-holders :). Actually, we each grabbed an end and as we were standing there waiting for the rules to be explained, I decided to jiggle the pole a little just for fun and accidentally jabbed poor Alex in the face with it. And now he won't EVER let me forget it!!!!
Naturally Alex won the Limbo contest!!!

Aren't Mr. & Mrs. B so cute? :)

And on Saturday morning Mr. & Mrs. B slept in REALLY late and Alex and I went out for breakfast (at IHOP!!) and to Brec's Baton Rouge Zoo. We had a lovely time wandering around and seeing all the different animals. My neck and face got a little sunburnt :(.

Doesn't Alex look cute with a trunk?

After the zoo we went back to the hotel and met up with Mr. & Mrs. B and we all went out shopping at all the furniture stores we could find because Mr. & Mrs. B. want to get us a bedroom set for our wedding gift. So we wandered around looking at beds... and everything else. We tested out a lot of couches and sat around talking and stuff too :).

Alex's boss told him to take us out to a nice restaurant for supper on the company credit card (wasn't that nice of him?), so we went to this fancy Italian restaurant.

On Sunday we went to Sunday School and church with Alex and out for lunch at the mall. Then we wandered around there for awhile, looked at wedding rings, tools, washing machines, shoes, stoves, hats... and suchlike ;). Y'know. Window shopping!!! :)

Sunday evening was the AWANA awards night. This little girl wanted me to take a picture of her, and then when I showed it to her, she looked at it for a minute and then pointed at it and said, "Who's that?" I can't remember her name, but she's really cute :).

So we had an absolutely fantastic weekend... and guess what!! Alex is going to be coming up here for a weekend two weeks from this Thursday!!! Aren't you all so exciterated?!? I am ;).
