Countdown...

Only a mere 16 days left until Anna comes back to us!!!!!








...and you thought this was about my birthday, didn't you!!! :)

Brandy and I went on our annual birthday shopping trip at the mall last Saturday. We had a great time wandering around looking at stuff. We found some really cool earrings, so we got matching spiral hoops, and Brandy found some cool monkey earrings. I found the cutest pig earrings!!! Of course when I put them in the other day, Andrew was kind enough to inform me that they were rather close to my skin color and looked like I had strange growths on my earlobes, but that's ok :). We also tried on prom dresses and took pictures (which you may NOT see!!!), and watched people on the rock climbing wall in Dick's Sporting Goods. There was a group of young teenage boys that we kept seeing around, and we called them the "party boys" because they were all wearing those cardboard party hats :). One kid in their group climbed the wall twice! And I also got a new steering wheel cover that is Very Cool. Here is a picture of Brandy modeling it for me:


And the reason why Brandy must model it? Well... my steering wheel is too big. Isn't that annoying?!?!? SO I think I'm going to get a new car, and I will definitely bring along my steering wheel cover so I can be sure it will fit! It came with a matching rear view mirror cover too!! :) Aren't you all jealous? Too bad, it's not for sale at any price. I need it for my new car. :)

You wanna know what else exciting has happened recently? My cousin Stacey had a baby!!!! Brianna Lynn. Isn't she adorable?!?

Grumbling and Grattitude

It is horrendously, gargantuously freezing cold in our basement!!! Fleece is a wonderful invention.

Last week Thursday when I babysat for B&J we each had to model these sunglasses for a picture to demonstrate that the boys are all just as crazy as their "Goofy Aunt Abby!"

The Long Awaited Post

Ok here it is: the post you have all been waiting for!!!! And I can't think of anything to say :). See, whenever I get a blank posting spot on my computer screen my brain shuts down. Hmmmm. Well!!!

I had a lovely Christmas! I took a week off work and got to sleep in every day and stay up all night every night :). And Alex was here for the week, so we did a lot of galavanting around together :). It was a lovely week and I was NOT happy to go back to work after that!! :)

Work hasn't really been very nice lately. People aren't very happy when they call for an appointment with their Dr and find they have to wait 2 months. And since I'm the only person available for them at the moment, I'm the one that gets yelled at!!! Oh well, I get to work in medical records 2 days a week for the rest of the month (so far... my schedule kind of changes sometimes), and that's always fun. I definitely feel more appreciated there!!! :)

Oh yes, our two most recent favorite phone calls in the phone room are: (1) someone called Jane and asked if they could bring their dogs in to be fixed. She explained that we are a people clinic not an animal clinic, and they decided to try the vets office instead :). (2) someone called me and wanted to know if the post office was open. When I said that I thought so, but couldn't answer them for sure because I wasn't at the post office, they sighed dramatically and said, "I guess I'll have to call the post office then." People are weird!!!
